Buon Vino: A Decade of Delight in Walnut Creek

Since opening its doors in 2014 at 1501 N. Broadway, Suite 138 in Walnut Creek, Buon Vino has redefined the American wine tasting experience. This local favorite celebrates its tenth anniversary on April 13th with an event that promises to blend fun, flavor, and community spirit.

A Philosophy of Accessible Enjoyment

Buon Vino's mission is straightforward: to make wine enjoyment accessible, fun, and delicious. Whether you're a connoisseur or a casual sipper, their tasting room offers a friendly, educational environment where guests can learn about wine evaluation, pairing options, and enjoy a tasting experience that's both enlightening and affordable.

Celebrate with Us!

The celebration kicks off at 1:30 PM with face painting and continues with a photo booth from 2:00 to 6:00 PM to capture the memories. The day is not just about wine; it's a full sensory experience with carefully paired foods and lively music to keep the good vibes flowing.

Innovative Tasting Experience

At Buon Vino, you can choose any four wines from a constantly rotating list, and then decide which ones you’d like to take home. What sets Buon Vino apart is their custom-built tap system, imported from Italy, which allows for wines to be bottled, corked, and labeled right in front of you—echoing the tradition of Italian wine shops where locals select wines for their dinner tables.

A Toast to Community and Craft

This anniversary is not just a celebration of ten years in business, but also of Buon Vino’s commitment to community and craft. The welcoming staff, the innovative Italian tap system, and the joyous atmosphere make Buon Vino more than just a wine shop—it's a cornerstone of the Walnut Creek community.

Join Buon Vino this Saturday to toast to a decade of making wine enjoyable for everyone. Discover why this local gem is cherished by all who walk through its doors. 🍷😃

New Residential Development Proposed at Central Walnut Creek Location

A significant residential development, the "Mitchell Drive Townhomes," is set to replace the Walnut Creek Executive Park at 2775 Mitchell Drive. This project involves converting the current office space into 422 homes spread over a 22.2-acre area, achieving a density of 19 homes per acre. Engineering will be handled by CBG, with Signature Development Group spearheading the project on behalf of the owner, California Capital & Investment Group. The site, previously owned by the Koll Company, was purchased in July 2022 for $49.6 million. Positioned near Oak Grove Road and Shadelands Drive, the development will provide convenient access to local amenities and schools, enhancing its appeal for families. The proposed buildings are expected to be two to three stories high, with sufficient parking for residents, though further details are yet to be released. Learn More

Synopsis: THE ARC OF OBLIVION explores a quirk of humankind: in a universe that erases its tracks, we humans are hellbent on leaving a trace. Set against the backdrop of the filmmaker’s quixotic quest to build an ark in a field in Maine, the film heads far afield – to salt mines in the Alps, fjords in the Arctic, and ancient libraries in the Sahara – to illuminate the strange world of archives, record-keeping, and memory. Playfully weaving stop-motion animation, spellbinding cinematography and fascinating interviews from the director’s inner circle and experts in the fields of science, culture and art – including documentarian Werner Herzog -- the film reveals how nature inspires the human drive behind filmmaking.
